ASSOCIATE PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Danielle Dunne (Dani), AMFT

She/Her
  • Danielle Dunne (Dani) (she/her) has spent several years researching the difference in cultural perspectives on mental health and has worked within a wide array of populations. Ten years of working within the entertainment industry has exposed her to the vast spectrum of humanity, from the homeless, to the working class, to the monetarily wealthy. Dani also has worked in addiction and rehabilitation, understanding the intricacies of substance use and how it affects our deeper psyche.

Dani is of Mexican, Native American, and European descent. This combination and an understanding of deeper systems at large from studying other cultures has created values set in advocacy and decolonization. Dani is deeply aware of the cultural factors that play into oppression and the exploitation of the working class, and is always looking for ways to collaborate to bring about a new system and way of existence. Dani’s values are rooted in our ability to foster community and create change, relentlessly believing in the goodness of humanity.

Dani’s first exposure to the importance of mental health world was treatment for her own eating disorder prior to pursuing her Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2016, of which resulted from involvement in the entertainment world. She has now since pivoted into transmuting the experience into a positive lifestyle, and has earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy to understand the deeper systems that play into the complexities of the Human Experience.

  • Dani specializes in bridging the gap between Psychology and Spirituality. A Carl Jung enthusiast, Dani’s values are rooted in our ability to foster community and create healthy connections. Dani explores the depth of the human experience with her clients and meets them where they are at, holding the map as they navigate the hurdles and challenges life tends to throw our way. Dani understands that life is an ebb and a flow; and the goal is to reach that flow state, surrendering all resistance so that we may truly understand what it means to feel joy.

Dani utilizes the Chakra system as a framework for deep healing, guiding her clients through each step and finding blockages that can be cleared through mindfulness and self-empowerment. The Chakra system has been a useful tool and a tangible way to identify where a client may be struggling and resisting most in life, and it results in finding creative ways to move through the resistance with gentleness and ease. Dani promotes welcoming calmness, zen, and peace, in a world full of chaos and noise.

  • From relationship challenges, exposure to trauma and overall daily demands, it can become difficult to navigate everyday life. Sometimes these tough situations can cause you to ask yourself, “Am I good enough?” or “Why me?” which can lead to depressive thoughts, anxiety, and even traumatic stress.

Change, processing, growth, and healing do not come easy. You set the pace for your healing journey.

I am passionate about empowering my clients to regain control of their life. My ideal client is one who is open-minded to new tools and perspectives about themselves. My goal is to empower clients, foster resilience, and support them in building the confidence they may need to confront past trauma, build strong interpersonal relationships, or more effectively regulate their emotions.
